I was a lead graphic designer on the Sustainable Garden Club project, during my Master’s degree at the Design School Kolding. We wanted to explore the future of sustainable gardening. The client was the Sustainability House, an initiative driven by the Kolding Municipality.
As a part of the research we reached out to the citizens of Kolding. We visited private gardens, conducted interviews and facilitated co-creation workshops with our participants. Together with them we made a proposal to create a local community around sustainable gardening as a way to raise awareness about biodiversity.
In the end we pitched the idea about forming a Sustainable Garden Club to our client, which was positively received. The branding of the Club played an important role in creating awareness around it. The goal was to communicate the hope for a more sustainable future, through bright colors and playful illustrations showcasing biodiversity.
